Members of UNESCO Chair on Cultural Heritage Law attended the "Cross Gate Legal Forum" at Macau University of Science and Technology

From 4 to 5 December 2020, Professor Wang Yunxia, the holder of the UNESCO Chair on Cultural Heritage Law and Director of the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Renmin University of China Law School, Professor Li Weifang, Co-expert of the Chair and Professor Li Yuxue, Researcher of the Institute of Law of Chongqing Social Sciences Academy, were invited to participate in the 52nd "Cross Gate Law Forum" held by Law School of Macau University of Science and Technology.

The Way Home for Looted Cultural Properties: Legal and Ethical Issues in the return of Looted Cultural Relics from World War II

This book provides a comprehensive overview of the plundering of cultural properties by the Axis powers against the Allies during World War II and the legal difficulties of return of them after wars and nowadays. It goes on to summarize the legal and practical experience of European and American countries in the return of Nazi-looted arts since the Cold War. The book concludes with an analysis of the practical difficulties and possible paths for China to recover cultural objects from Japan, which has strong practical significance.
